Sushi has lead the sea food economy into many booming businesses throughout the whole world. Sushi has influenced the global market and the food industry to a large extent. It has helped our global economy and the world become closer together. Sushi is not a commodity that humans fight for, instead it is a commodity where humans work together by using globalization. Through sushi we can see the world working together creating a cultural and geographical economy so that people throughout all the world can enjoy it. From modernization, transportation has gotten a lot better and people are able to transport sushi all around the planet. Basically any first world country, and some developing countries, you go there is a sushi bar waiting.

On the other hand, sushi is also a commodity that is taken for granted. Tuna (one of the most enjoyed fish in the whole world) is disappearing very quickly. Overfishing has caused Pacific bluefin tuna numbers to drop 96 percent. If humans keep up with overfishing, soon there may be no bluefin tuna left. Without any bluefin tuna left, fishermen and many other people who work in the seafood industry would lose their jobs and the whole sushi economy would fall apart.
